Lance Armstrong team doping probe closed - Federal prosecutors in the United States have dropped their investigation into allegations of doping at a professional cycle racing team which is partly owned by Lance Armstrong.
A grand jury in Los Angeles had been hearing evidence from former teammates and associates of the cycling legend.
United States Attorney Andre Birotte said media speculation meant a public announcement was necessary.
Lance Armstrong has always denied taking drugs.
He won the Tour de France for seven consecutive years from 1999-2005.
The cancer survivor retired from competitive cycling for the second time in 2011.
Several former fellow cyclists on the US Postal team have come forward to claim that the former champion used performance-enhancing substances.
Responding to the news that the inquiry has been closed, Mr Armstrong's lawyer Mark Fabiani said that the cyclist was pleased that prosecutors "made the right decision," and that he was "determined to devote his time and energy" to his cancer foundation Livestrong, the Associated Press news agency reports.

Frogs have always been jealous that an Americn can beat all their records. Just like a waiter in Lyon who told me that Anericans were uncultured pigs in 1984. He served me with a shit attitude and insulted the girl I was with. I took him to the floor and broke his nose and extracted his front teeth. Faggot frogs.

He was doped. There are witnesses and facts... But lawyers are very gifted, and America never stopped protecting Americans, even if they are guilty.
Pr Gallo against Montagnier...
Boeing against Airbus.
Now it's Armstrong.
Don't make me laugh.
Same argument that "proves " UFO's are real. I heard it from a friend who has a cousin who knows the guy who heard it.
Let us suppose for a minute that Lance was doped. Why di they never stop him from racing in all those years. I would suppose that the rules would make it easy to disqualify him. Sour grapes again. it seems to be the vintage of France.

Then the probe is a joke.
ALL professional cyclists are doped to the eyeballs.
Most being doped, "clean" cyclists just can't stay the distance and compete in top races.
Show me a clean lab test for a competitor in the top cycling races...

I nearly did the same in Dieppe. The only thing that stopped me wos my two sons were very young then. We went to sit down for coffee outside a bar: it had been raining and there were a few drops on the chair my wife was about to sit on. She picked up a paper napkin from the sideboard and wiped off the drops. The waiter came out and went potty. He flew into a complete rant and I had to exercise great control, not to drop the cunt in his tracks. You will find the Frog arsehole waiters in the larger towns. There are none in the area I live. Here everyone is happy, friendly and polite.

True, never heard of them. But I just looked, and their main line appears to be marathon.
My point was that people with extraordinary abilities exist, without doping.
Goggins has been able to cycle for over 500 miles without stopping. Is it so difficult to believe that Lance Armstrong just might be one of these people with a "super human" ability?
Disgraced U.S. cyclist Floyd Landis revealed new cheating allegations in a series of messages to sponsors and officials, alleging that former teammate Lance Armstrong not only joined him in doping but taught others how to beat the system and paid an official to keep a failed test quiet.
With international cycling season in full swing, Landis admitted for the first time what had long been suspected - that he was guilty of doping for several years before being stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title.

I don't know why, but marathon doesn't have a reputation for being tainted by doping.
While time and again, ex-cyclists come clean and say they and all their ex-colleagues were doped to the eyeballs.
Allegations which tend to be confirmed by the countless cases of cyclists indicted for doping.
Probably one of the most tainted sports on Earth
.
Probably not, just one of few sports where anti doping efforts are somewhat serious and where police investigations take place (which has led to a large number of doping cases that would otherwise have gone under the radar).
As for David Goggins, he's not even relevant, he's an amateur in a niche sport - demanding as it may be - not a professional competing in major events of a high profile sport that generates tons of money, and where covering the distance at the average speed of the winners of the pre-EPO era puts you amongst the bottom racers.
