STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Swedish officials are investigating an author's claims that the Norwegian Nobel Committee has not been honoring Alfred Nobel's last wishes, officials say.

Norwegian author and law professor Fredrik S. Heffermehl has been writing books and opinion pieces for several years claiming the last wishes of Alfred Nobel are not being honored.
Nobel's will states the Nobel Peace Prize shall be given to: "the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congress."
Heffermehl says recipients such as Barack Obama, Henry Kissinger and Al Gore have not worked towards or achieved such goals, meaning the committee is not following Nobel's will in the selection of peace prize winners, The Local reported.
The Stockholm County Administrative Board has begun an investigation into Heffermehl's claims, and has sent a letter to the Swedish Nobel Foundation asking for their thoughts on Nobel's will.

Well, DUH! Funny how it is noticed by most of the people on earth, but not the Fools who are picking the winners. Must be too busy picking their noses to look into a persons accomplishments, kind of like the American voters in 2008, who voted for Obama, who's only accomplishment in his entire life was being able to read a Dummy Board like a white man! Nobel should have honored his own profession and established a prize for bigger and more powerful explosives instead of this silly peace crap. |
