Local brew might offend women
The Strangers' Bar, located in Westminster, London, England, stopped selling "Top Totty" beer after Shadow equalities minister Kate Green complained.
The beer, which features a picture of a scantily clad bar girl on the label, is brewed in Stafford by Slater's Ale and has been sold in The Stranger's Bar since 2007.
Ms. Green, MP for Stetford & Urmston, said she recently noticed it was on sale, and felt it should be removed because it had "a picture of a nearly naked woman on the tap." She also called for a debate in the House of Commons on "dignity at work in Parliament."
Conservative MP Jeremy Lefroy, who initially arranged for Top Totty to be sold in the bar, said that this was a chance for small independent breweries such as Slater's to reach a wider audience.
UK Independence Party MP Mike Nattrass called Ms. Green (above) a "humorless sort," and commented that,
"This sort of knee-jerk Puritanism does more to damage the cause of equality than a thousand beer labels. It suggests that to be in favour of equality you must be a dour-faced, insult-searching misery."

Overdoing the political correctness here.
It's strange how many British brewers vy with each other to come up with stupid, unfunny, borderline-obscene or plain silly names for their products. In these PC times they're asking for trouble.
A storm in a teacup.
