I don't have a high opinion of most Democrats, but whoever did this needs to be taken to the woodshed and have his a** whipped. (Then he needs to be committed for a psychological evaluation).

A mixed breed Siamese cat, the pet of Jake Burris, had its head bashed in and the word "liberal" spray painted across one side. Burris manages the congressional campaign of Ken Aden, a Russellville Democrat.

Burris was returning home with his four children when he found the cat, dead, on his doorstep. The cat had been hit so hard in the side of its head that one eyeball was hanging from its socket.

Incumbent Steve Womack, a Republican whom Aden hopes to replace, denounced the incident and extended his sympathies to Burris. Aden and Burris said they do not believe Womack or his reelection campaign are involved.

The Russellville Police Department is investigating the incident as an animal cruelty case.

Update: it turns out the cat was discovered by Burris's 5-year-old daughter.

I would not put it past a member of his same party doing this to get sympathy and to smear conservatives.

That seems to be a design defect with cats, I used to set leg traps to capture racoons (so I could bash their skulls in as well) and every now and then youd catch a cat which of course you had to kill to get out of the trap.

This was a cruel and cowardly act. Anyone that would deliberately kill a friendly family pet should be prosecuted and the pet owners politics should not be a consideration.

I can't even comprehend the rage I would feel if someone did this to one of my cats. If I caught them in the act their heads would probably wind up looking the same as the cat's and I would go to jail.

there was a guy in my neighborhood growing up who turned out was a pet killer, he killed my cat and several other neighborhood cats and dogs. fucker probably would have killed my siberian huskies too if he could have gotten his fucked up hands on them. I never knew what became of him. hopefully someone murdered him with poison, as was his fashion. In any case he was old then so he's likely dead now. haha I win
