SEALs penetrate pirate stronghold to rescue kidnapped American aid worker.

Last night a US Navy SEAL team (reportedly the same one that offed Osama bin Laden) went into pirate controlled Somalia and rescued an American hostage, Jessica Buchanan.

Ms. Buchanan was working for a humanitarian relief organization in northern Somalia when she was kidnapped by Somali gangsters last October. Also kidnapped was her Danish co-worker, Poul Thisted.

Both were rescued last night. At least 9, possibly more, pirates were killed in the operation, but no Americans were hurt. Both hostages were rescued unscathed and flown out safely for medical evaluations.

This American Spy Aid Worker should have realised that Somalia would be best served by a good old-fashioned carpet bombing.

The most heartwarming part of this story is that at least 9 pirates have taken a dirt nap.

My thoughts exactly, what the hell are these people thinking? It isn't a thrill ride at the fair.

True enough. They should send them the bill for the cost of the rescue operation.

Aid workers actions are much more important than you think, specialy in this area.

They often tip western services, keep a link with locals, favor better resentment toward our race or nationality.

When their actions are non-politic, they are the first line of our diplomacy. They deserve your consideration. Not less.

I don't see obama doing squat but taking credit for it.

He's the one that makes the decision and has to take the BLAME
or CREDIT for it's failure or success.
So, what do we have:
-osama bin-fucks-fish...DEAD
-30+ other high ranking terrorist...DEAD
-These 9 mofos...DEAD
-Sundry pirates...DEAD/captured
-The economy make a slo turn around
-and GM back on top.
-And finally, republicans who don't give a fuck
about you or me.

He's on a roll...unlike bush who took credit for the entire
iraq war. Good work george.

These were AMERICAN missions. your abject hate of Obama makes
you no compatriot of mine. He is THE commander in chief...PERIOD.
I served in the military in Viet Nam under a president I did not vote for,
but that did NOT change the fact that the President IS the
leader and the one that makes the decisions.
Get behind him or move to euroland with the rest of the cowards.

If you cannot get behind your military (and Obama is at the top and makes all...
ALL the tough decisions in that regard) then I
suggest you move to china please, they have
a one party system which seems more in line with you.

I'm sick of you whiny simpletons. Move to fucking canadah if you do not like it. Get used to it. He's gonna win again whether you
or I like it. There is NO republican with a brain to vote for.

Doing this only out of principle (because I'm not wrong):

But read the articles again! Obanga approved the mission.

Give credit where credit is due and move on.

What a nice feel-good story! The more dead Somali pirates the better. Somalia has to be the world's filthiest muzzy toilet.

I did read the article and I know if the mission had been a failure the story would have been how the Pirates killed the American Woman and her companion and nothing else. obama would have tossed everyone under the buss.

And as for obama being the Commander In Chief pfft... I have more respect for Carter.

EDIT: Remember a true leader does not take any credit.

Really, douchebag, when is he going to take the blame for Fast And Furious, that dead DEA agent and thousands of dead mexican peasants?

Its funny, olympDick has all the time to pesonally authorize bum of the month missions to kill non-entities and rescue some idiots, but for some reason he had no time to spend with Gen. McChrystal to consider the operation in shitcanistan.

And of course would you care to give him credit for the death rate of Amercins in Shitcanistan going up by a factor or three in the two years following his becomming commander in chief?

Or is too messy of a backdrop for your happy talk,

Douchebag, its not abject hatred its an observation of facts,

You talk about the economy getting better, for who, government workers?

When you consider that of our GDP, government spending now accounts for 42% of GDP compared to 35% when Boosh left office,

Which means we have real negative GDP under this clown.

Agreed, here's hoping for the killing of these sand niggers becoming the norm. No point in having the tax payers provide them with daily meals and such amenities at off shore prisons.
