I'm pretty sure the odds-makers will put Obama as the favorite in a head to head race with Newt. With 60% negative rating just on name-recognition, Newt has his work cut out for him. Unless he can elicit something equivalent to the Dean-scream out of Obama during the debates, his goose is cooked IMHO.
It will certainly be interesting to watch the debates. Newt WILL tear Obama a new asshole if he is the nominee. It's all a matter of how Obama can compose himself and not reveal too much of his true beliefs. |

...that is an interesting thought but i'm not so sure the media would let obama out to hang so easily. my bet is the moderators and questions would be loaded in his favor. i bet the white house staff and election committee are already scripting the options. |
