Really? Are you that stupid? Here do the math....

Crew pay is % of total catch OR % of what you caught

Paycheck for total catch ~ 1000 pounds of fish at $4.00 per pound
$4000.00

expenses $1500

15% of $2500 = $375

====
YOU CAUGHT 300 pounds of fish

300 pounds of fish @ $4.00 per pound is $1200, 1/3 is $400.00

Simple concept. If you catch more fish, you make more money either way.

Some of you missed the part about ALL EXPENSES PAYED. That part is up to me to provide you with the opportunity to make money. If you cant catch fish, I will instruct you on how to so we can make a paycheck.

I had a feeling that maybe one of you would take the offer. So far, one maybe and a bunch of pussy's who might break a nail offshore.

2000 pounds of fish is $8000
3000 pounds of fish is $12,000

The boat can hold up to 6000 pounds of fish.

Expenses stay the same @ $1500 per trip
:O Wot happened to the oil slick 90feet down?

If it's about maikng $300/$400, you need to find a guy who already lives in Tampa, otherwise it's gonna cost him more that that just to show up in Tampa.

I guess that excludes 99,9% of ff readers...

So LAMO, your business plan is to find someone that will work ten days @ 18 hours = 180 hours to make $400 or $2.22/hour, or way less than 1/3rd the minimum wage in Florida?

Not only that, but on top that someone will have to endure your companionship for those ten days! :(

6000 pounds = $24,000

15% of that = $3,375
at 180 hours = $18.75/hr

Howdy 12 year old 63 year old info miner. Why dont you call Dave and ask him? Or call the Dock @ 727-461-6295 Ask for Tommy in the fish house. Or call and ask for me, Captain Rocco, I would love to hear from you.

frenchysonline.com . . .

I'll take it that you dont want to take the job nerka? To much like work? Come on down! The weather is shitty and the fishing is GREAT!

*** Crew pay is not based on how much time is spent offshore, it is based on the total amount of the check. I take a chance of making no money every time I leave the dock. Just like when you open a new business and have to wait for customers. I happen to go to my customers, provide them a free meal and boat ride!

Hay, I forgot, Im in Atlanta at the moment but will be at the dock sometime later tonight. The fish house closes at 5PM and reopens at 6AM. Ice and bait in the morning, food and fuel in the afternoon. Gone fishing in the morning. We need to catch 150 live baits before we head offshore, a coupla hours in 35 feet of water. Any deeper and they dont make the decompression healthy...

There are no takers? Times a wastin' and the Help Wanted sign is hanging on the dock. Ronnie may make the trip if he's in from the Anejo fishing trip. Ass Kickin crew who does not miss fish. Three strikes and your out.
Miss three fish on the same spot and you get to make coffee

Stern,

You’re assuming that Rocco will do nothing and just watch his crew do all the hauling. Clearly, this is not what he has in mind, as chances are the newbie crew won’t haul 6000 lbs.

So let’s take two scenario:

1) Crew is as good as Rocco and he hauls 3000lbs.
2) Crew is a newbie, and if lucky, he hauls in 2000lbs.

3000 x 4 = 12000, minus 1500 = 10500. 15% of that = 1575 at 180 hours = $8.75
2000 x 4 = 8000, minus 1500 = 6500. 15% of that = 975 at 180 hours = $5.42

FL minimum wage is about $7.50.

And you still get to live ten days in the fugliest contraption on the Gulf, surrounded by smelly fish, no beer and stuck with Rocco…

No wonder there ain’t no takers.

1229 pounds this trip

$4.25 a pound average ( high was $4.50 ~ Low was $4.00 )

My crew made 25% $650 cash AFTER EXPENSES AND OWNERS SHARE

Not to bad for someone to drop baits and gut fish

For a Cambodian, maybe. $650 for 9 18 hour days?

9 X 18 = 162
650 / 162 = 4.01

$4.01 per hour.

Quite the living, being your deckhand.

pizlah, If you include the room and board and the fantastic ocean views PLUS the cleanest air on the planet.

I worked this trip from sunup to sundown, 11 hours days. What else are you going to do while the boat is offshore?

How about Drop a fucking bait. If I do not have a bait on the bottom, I am moving the boat to find more fish...

Fish dont sleep but eat all night. If I could stay awake for 96 hours straight, I would be home in 5 days dock to dock.

Even if it was good fish, it would be ruined by some fry cook in Florida.
