Looks like Merkel is stabbing Sarko in the back ? Germany has too many interests in the UK to fuck around, BMW, VW, and so on ? Surely the fact he snubbed Cameron when the latter held out his hand for a handshake was a bad boy's attitude.
Sarkozy out on a limb as Germans side with Cameron after devastating triple whammy for French PM

A week ago it was Britain that looked isolated from Europe following David Cameron’s veto of a eurozone treaty.
But yesterday it was France and its president Nicolas Sarkozy who seemed to have no friends left after a devastating triple whammy.
First, French prime minister Francois Fillon was rebuked by Nick Clegg, who said a series of provocative comments about the British were ‘simply unacceptable’.
Secondly, amid fears that the floundering French economy is heading for the rocks, a report revealed that nervous British banks pulled almost £20billion out of the country between July and September.
Thirdly, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told David Cameron she wants to resist Mr Sarkozy’s grandiose plans to redraw EU rules and undermine Britain’s interests in the EU single market.
Mr Cameron’s relationship with Mr Sarkozy – forged during the war in Libya – appears to have broken down, with Downing Street announcing that he has ‘no plans’ to talk to the president.
On Wednesday, Mr Sarkozy dismissed the Prime Minister as an ‘obstinate kid’ over his use of the veto in Brussels. And Mr Fillon put the boot into Britain, declaring: ‘Our British friends have a higher deficit and debt [than us] but it seems the ratings agencies have not yet noticed.’
Early yesterday French finance minister Francois Baroin took another pot shot at the UK just 24 hours after the head of the Bank of France called for the UK’s credit rating to be downgraded.
‘The economic situation of Great Britain is very worrying,’ said Mr Baroin.
‘From the point of view of the economy, it is preferable to be French than British at the moment.’
Amid British fury at the attacks, Mr Fillon was forced to ring David Cameron’s Europhile deputy Nick Clegg and explain himself.
A Cabinet Office spokesman said: ‘Mr Fillon made clear it had not been his intention to call into question the UK’s rating but to highlight that ratings agencies appeared more focused on economic governance than deficit levels.
‘The Deputy Prime Minister accepted his explanation but made the point that recent remarks from members of the French government about the UK economy were simply unacceptable and that steps should be taken to calm the rhetoric.’
No 10 suggested that the aggression was the result of sour grapes over Britain’s veto last week and pointed out that ‘numerous international organisations’ have endorsed the UK’s plans to tackle the deficit.
Ratings agency Standard & Poor’s has put France on warning that its AAA credit rating is at risk while Britain’s is ‘stable’.
And it emerged that British banks voted with their feet over the summer and cut their exposure to France by £18.8billion or nearly ten per cent, to £177billion. A report by the Bank of England underlined just how worried is the City of London about the French economy and its exposure to the eurozone.
British banks also pulled a combined total of £13billion out of debt-ridden Italy and Spain and invested in Germany and the U.S. instead.

This whole EC jazz is just for the frogs to grease the German way to take over the UK industrial sector while in France itself the industry produces only cheap products.
Most French so called city cars are indeed made by Toyota, this is the deal for Peugeot and Citroen. I didn't smell that fish until I watched a Citroen and realized the dashboard was a Toyota one. Thence I browsed through my old auto mags and found out that this all went far back in years.
Best seller Renault are in fact low cost Dacia made in Romania. This is not like VW and Skoda, Skoda are fine cars, not lowlife vehicles.
France doesn't produce a single true luxury car or Limousine, which means it has no whatsoever output to the US huge market and just a minor niche on the Chinese market where those are in high demand. Germany today controls large chunks of the GT market, this including through selling Mercedes engines all over, like for the Pagani supercars.
Same with luxury yachts.
Of course France sells perfumes and Vuitton bags, but it does not make the trick because today everyone makes perfumes. I am always amazed that one of the best doing corporation in France is L'Oreal, cosmetics, God forbid.
The other thing is, I suspect both France and Germany to flirt with the UK only because the UK has a vast off shore banking empire that controls much if the US monies, in the Caribbeans.
No matter what, French kids in high schools are brainwashed to hate the Brits.
Sarkozy's gesture to snub Cameron's handshake was a disgrace.
He is behaving exactly like the yutes he calls hoods.

The industrial sector is dead in the UK.
while in France itself the industry produces only cheap products.
Like nuclear power plants, aircraft etc.?
Most French so called city cars are indeed made by Toyota, this is the deal for Peugeot and Citroen.
Fucking moron, it's a tripartite joint-venture: Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (TPCA) produces three cars that are, in essence, the same. These are the Citroën C1, Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo. These cars share the vast majority of parts with only small cosmetic alterations. www.tpca.cz . . .
Best seller Renault are in fact low cost Dacia made in Romania. This is not like VW and Skoda, Skoda are fine cars, not lowlife vehicles.
The Renault Clio is the best seller with 5.9% of the market year-to-date vs. 4.7% for the Peugeot 207, #2. The Renault Megane is stable in 3rd place at 3.7%.
France doesn't produce a single true luxury car or Limousine,
This Citroen is pretty neat.
which means it has no whatsoever output to the US huge market
smart cars are made in France.
and just a minor niche on the Chinese market where those are in high demand.
By 2015, Peugeot will sell more cars in PRC than in France you moron.
Germany today controls large chunks of the GT market,
I admit I am partially to blame.
this including through selling Mercedes engines all over, like for the Pagani supercars.
You know of course that the engine in the BMW Mini is sourced from Peugeot?
Same with luxury yachts.
Never heard of "Couach" moron?
Of course France sells perfumes and Vuitton bags, but it does not make the trick because today everyone makes perfumes.
But Marilyn Monroe wears #5.
I am always amazed that one of the best doing corporation in France is L'Oreal, cosmetics, God forbid.
It is because little girls, as you once famously posted here, desire to sexually attract older men.
The other thing is, I suspect both France and Germany to flirt with the UK only because the UK has a vast off shore banking empire that controls much if the US monies, in the Caribbeans.
So, in short, UK rocks because it is laundering dirty money, the money that Greek and Wops tax payers are hiding from their government? Do you know that Wops buy 210,000 luxury cars every year? This is remarkable because only 0.17% (76,000) of taxpayers declare income over US$272,000... Moron.
No matter what, French kids in high schools are brainwashed to hate the Brits.
Yeah, sure.
Sarkozy's gesture to snub Cameron's handshake was a disgrace.
That is a pure invention from trashy tabloids. It did not happen, moron.
He is behaving exactly like the yutes he calls hoods.

Once again you prove being a fuckin' asshole.
Read well.
I am the one who posted years ago a thread special dedicated to the Citroen C6. The most brilliant design from all actual such cars.
Except the dashboard sucks. Citroen fucked up and had to readjust the design on all his present line, after years it did not grab the dashboard was a kill on the sales.
Stop lying to yourself.
You tell me how many of those we dispatch over the US and Chinese markets compared with German and British competitors.
How many super-units Couach sold compared with Blohm & Voss or Lurssen or Feadship or even the marvelous Trinity of NOLA ?
Can you quote any megayacht over 250 Ft built in France (that we build the best ocean liners in the world in St Nazaire we all know but still no megayachts) ?
What's wrong with the UK having deployed a vast offshore banking empire ?
France tried its luck with Monaco.
Who built the finest megacars before WWII ? France. After WWII, shit.
Name a French manufacturer of worldwide sold PC's, Supercomputers, Motorbikes, electrical appliances and AV equipment, and so on.

Oops, we have a megayacht builder here but it is not Couach !
Ohatchee, unlike you, I do not have the wherewithal to commission a mega yacht, so my knowledge is very limited here.
Some facts however couldn’t escape my attention, such as the terrible performance of the Rodriguez Group in 2011, or the fact that the market collapsed in 2008 by 66% and did not really recover since. Today it is definitively a buyer’s market.
Note also that the mainland chinks have not really embraced yachting yet.
Last but not least, new shipyards are sprouting, notably in Turkey and Brazil, and their access to low wage personnel gives them a tremendous advantage compared with traditional European or North American builders.
(In short: you're an ignorant moron and the megayacht is a niche market.)
