I can't say whether Peter Murphy is gay or anything. Based on the people I met backstage at one of his concerts once, I'd call it more of an emo/goth/vampire thing.

My sister was dating Peter Murphy's nephew at the time. So uncle peter sent his family a bunch of tickets when he was in town and I got invited. Wasn't really into his music, but figured it was a free concert so why not.
