This video is pretty fucking kewl. I spent 30 plus years on mother ocean and have seen one whale. One.

These folks stumble upon one in trouble, and, well, see for your self's.....

The thanks begins at around 6 minute's.....

Sea Shepard should still be sunk, and captain and crew tried for piracy...

Enjoy

An area the size of an American state full of hi-level radiation is increasing and is expanding and drifting towards a fishing ground like yours around the pacific.

Enjoy.

Someone else might think up a way to improve geo-thermal or wave or wind or solar power.

Even I have thought up a great way to get consistent river power generation even as the level rises and falls over the months. A novel solution. Cant be bothered patenting it yet; too busy working on a new idea for Kia.

L&L, I have more time on the shitter offshore then you have on salt water.

www.usbr.gov . . .

Hydro-electric power? Its been around a while, see link and date's. Thou there are not enough places to FIND that can be used.

SOLAR power is nice for keeping the battery's on my boat charged.

Tidal power? Seriously?

Wind power?

Hydro-electric power? Its been around a while, see link and date's. Thou there are not enough places to FIND that can be used.

Always remember; almost EVERY river has potential hydro power; it is just that people like you are unable to think of concepts that work.

SOLAR power is nice for keeping the battery's on my boat charged.

That fine if you dont want set of spare batteries (w/p ballast)and a spare electric drive motor. Esp if you have an engine problem mid sea when some shit goes off..

Tidal power? Seriously?

I said wave power; you converted that to tidal power. Do you see the problem some people have?

Wind power?

Even that would work on a static boat. MUCH MORE EFFICIENT THAN SOLAR to charge a battery.

P.S.
Wind power can replace all your house electric needs (if you have a garden) if you put a couple of small wind turbines in it.
Remember;
IF you work 8 hours a day outside the house, you hardly use any electric.
If you sleep 8 hours a night you hardly use any electric.
If you have two wind turbines and back-up recharging batteries (as Japanese companies sell for houses now) you can get electric 24 hours a day; and if you back that up with solar power on a properly built home; you will never need to pay anyone else for energy EVER. Not even for your electric car.

But if you prefer a cave and beer and pizza and pay the man for his fuel and his tax; thats fine too.

Solar is ok; wind is better. Geo is exceptional in the right places/with the right design.

Ya but LMAO you fish in the gulf where humpbacks are not known to be.

That was a sea of cortez sighting...and further up north on the Pacific you will find more.

I don't know of any humpback whale sightings in the Atlantic or the gulf of Mexico.

Don't they usually run in the NW of the pacific?

I have seen whales ass deep to the horizon and had them breech within 10 feet of me, smelling their breath.

Also have had to back down so I wouldn't hit them while chasing giant tuna.

You really saw one!!!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain...

heh heh...

Stick to your code Mouse, I see humpbacks from the road here and probably saw the same humpback in Puerto Rico.

What a bunch of dipshits.

L&L, Its raining, dead calm, and midnight. Your on your blowboat....

I fire up two 350 Chevys and head for the dock @ 35 Kts.

I am all for SOLAR, HYDRO, and WIND power, just don't TELL ME or DEMAND I have to use it. Tidal power is pushing it...

Put one of your Hydro dams between Plum Island and Orient Point. There is a 6 foot tide at Port Jeff harbor. Long Island Sound empty's and fills through a small enough area to put one there. Or on the West end of the Island at Varzano Narrows between Staten Island and Brooklyn.

And I still have seen one whale.... Maybe I was looking in the wrong spot.

Edited by Snail_Bait (76846) on 2011-07-28 20:40:09 ended up 25 miles East, South of Martha Vineyard.
I had whales as far as I could see, seeing sand eels showering out of their mouths and smelled their breath.

No film in the camera. Laid over for the night on Block Island, too late to buy film.

Whales again at dawn, gone at noon.

Struck out on giant tuna, too much bait.

Great. They made a comeback. When I was puttering around up there, I didnt see any. I still have seen one. Maybe next summer I'll make the trip to the Island and head out to the End for a fishing trip. Can I use a 600 6/0 Ele-tra-mate and 10/0 Mustad 92671 beaks on stripers and blues without NMF busting my balls?

Its good to know that they are making a comeback and if you have to slow down to avoid them... That is a great thing!

I have not killed any air breathing aquatic mammals, Dolphins, Whales, or Porpoise.

And yea, old lime, one is a number.

Thats how many whales I have seen in the wild.

You are a better whale watcher then I am.

When will I be allowed to fish for 'em for their blubber, Now that they made such a great comeback....?
The price of fuel is getting steep. 1k to fuel my boat. And when I put another 2 - 75 gallon tanks on board, that'll be $1750 to fuel it at the dock.... $5.00 a gallon delivered.

We were the first ones on a dead whale one morning.

Hung out for an hour hoping to harpoon a mako shark. Caught a giant that day after we left and intentionally broke off a blue marlin that ate our 10 lb. live bluefish intended for tuna.

Another boat violated federal law and carved a piece of whale meat and caught a 2500 pound white shark.

Wops.

so what do we do when there is no wind for weeks at a time?

how many batteries do we need to gap the time when the wind isn't blowing?

They are out to feed their own. I have no problem with them hunting fish, whales or dolphins as long a they EAT THEM. Using them for lamp oil, they get hung from the yardarm.

Sea Shepard are the pirates and plague of the ocean. They attacked another vessel in international waters with the intent to damage or sink it. Thats a violation of international law, and Piracy on the high seas, like in Somalia and the muzz hijacking of vessel's, will get you sunk....

Let them try that shit in the Gulf where I fish. They can throw all the stink bombs they want, We dont have stink bombs. We do however carry a large assortment of high power rifles to keep the sharks from chewin' on the crewmen...

Nuke the unborn gay whales, taste like chicken.
