Several years ago I was a member of web site for computers and windows. It was a great site the owner had articles and how-tos plus a board you could ask questions. The owner got the big head and decided to charge for membership so I left and found an even bigger and better site that I still go to. I checked back a couple of years ago and the board is still there but with a fraction of the hits it used to get.

I don't think the payment option will do it as well. Eventually people will stop coming.

Good moderation is needed no way around it. Retarded people as mods won't do. This is a well frequented site, shon, whoever you are, you can take advantage of the traffic and make money out of it by posting ads like everybody else do.

As far as I see, at the moment, the trolls are more then half of the current posters. Members who do post new threads are inundated with off-topic posts, poor photo shops and that tread is "Hi-Jacked" and then left to die.

I would pay a fee, as I do for other web sites that charge a fee, to post in their forms, to make this site one that I can invite my friends and family to. Even being called Fuck France, it is a site I recommended to my friends and family.

I did this for on-line gaming teams that I have run and it worked out great. No personnel info is gleamed and the site gets its funds to operate. shon has stated that he doesn't need the money to run the site, a fee would help to keep trolling in check. And I would bet that membership would increase.
